Carolyn Ann Cushman

Carolyn Ann Cushman, 82, of Fort Wayne, formerly of Uniondale passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2019. She was born on September 21, 1937 in Veedersburg, Indiana, the daughter of the late John and Carrie (Flory) Pickett. She worked at home caring for the family as well as helping with the family business, Cushman Contracting. She was a member at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, Uniondale as well as the Daughters of the American Revolution. She enjoyed cooking and baking, family get togethers, and going to her grandson’s sporting events. Surviving family include her children, Carrie (Dana) Reed and Rich (Brenda) Cushman; grandchildren, Blake (Samantha) Reed and Jessica Sell; and her beloved Shih Tzu, Precious. Besides her parents, she was preceded in passing by her husband, Richard E. “Gene” Cushman; grandson, D.J. Reed; six sisters and two brothers. Per Ann’s request private services will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be at Horeb Cemetery, Uniondale. Memorials may be made to Parkinson's Foundation or Parkview Hospice. Elzey-Patterson-Rodak Funeral Home, Ossian is handling arrangements.
