C. R. Edwards

Carroll Roy Edwards, born November 4, 1934, passed away on October 11, 2021 at his home. C.R. retired after a 35-year career with Henrico County as a utilities inspector. He enjoyed gardening, loved the Redskins, Major League Baseball and despised the New York Yankees. C.R. and his wife of 62 years, Peggy Edwards, had two children, Michael Edwards (Cindy) and Marc Edwards (Shannon); four grandchildren, William Avery Edwards (Alex), Megan McCormick Handler (George), Caroline Edwards, Virginia Edwards; and nine great-grandchildren, Raleigh Madeline Edwards, River Avery Edwards, George Leslie Handler V, Michael Carroll Handler, Hayden Nash Handler, Holden Black Handler, Hadley Hayden Handler, George Leslie Handler VI, Michael Carroll Handler II. He was a generous man who loved his family. A big thanks to Jenny Bounime for her loving and kind caregiving to C.R. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at 11 a.m. in Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Dr., Sandston, Va. 23231. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Sandston Baptist Church.
