Helene "Skeezix" A. Peters

PETERS, Helene A., “Skeezix,” 95, died peacefully on August 2, 2018, at the Masonic Home of Virginia, where she had resided for the past 27 years. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James Linwood Peters. She is survived by a son, James L. Peters Jr. (Diane); a daughter, Betty (Tom); three grandchildren, Michael Dunston, Sherry Cathey, Andrew Peters; and five great-grandchildren. For many years, she served as secretary of Sandston Baptist Church and Lee Conner Realty. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 11, at 1 p.m. at Corinth United Methodist Church, Sandston, Virginia. Family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Chapman Scholarship Fund, Corinth United Methodist Church, 23 West Williamsburg Road, Sandston, Virginia 23150, www.corinthumchurch.org. She will be remembered by all who knew her for her unique spirit, humor, and colorful personality.
