James Harry Polhamus

James Harry Polhamus, 81, of Stafford passed away at his residence on Monday, July 26, 2021. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sharon; son, Edgar Porter and Tracy; four siblings, Paul, Velvadeen, Margueritte, Inez; and granddaughter, Katie Hannigan and husband, Mike; numerous brothers and sisters in-law, nieces and nephews and many close friends. He was preceded in death by father, James Harrison Polhamus; mother Inez Elizabeth, four siblings, Benjamin, Chuck, Ruby, and Myrtle. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Stafford Memorial Park. Tommy Lavinus, Frank Gardner, Phil Lavinus, Mike Hannigan, Tony Milam, Bruce Lavinus, Andy Lavinus and Lee Riffe will serve as pallbearers. James was employed by Giant Food for 30 years. After retirement, he was employed at the Quantico golf course for an additional 15 years.
