Mark Allen Farewell

Mark Allen Farewell, 61, of Stafford, VA, passed away at Mary Washington Hospital on Sunday, November 5, 2017 after a short, brave battle with mesothelioma. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Stephanie Farewell, his daughter and son-in-law, Gretchen and Steve Allen of Manassas, VA and his daughter and son-in-law, Kasey and Tim Griffith of Crozet, VA. He was a loving grandfather to five grandchildren, Haley, Chase, Caroline, Jackson, and Alexandra. He is also survived by three brothers, Carl, James, and John Farewell and three sisters, Sharon Shaw, Pat Aber, and Peggy Farewell. He is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Eleanor Farewell of Fabius, NY. Mark was a hard-working man who loved baseball, golf, spending time outdoors and mostly spending time with his children and grandchildren. He was a man of few words but he was always there for his family and showed his love in his own special way. He will be greatly missed but will always be in our hearts and memories. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017 at Mullins and Thompson Funeral Service, Stafford Chapel at 1:00 pm, with the family receiving friends immediately prior to the service from 12:00 to 1:00.
