Obituary of James E. Fridley
James Edward “E.T.” “Lil Duke” Fridley, 52, of Craigsville, passed away on Monday September 20, 2021 at his home. Mr. Fridley was born on November 2, 1968 in Staunton and was a son of the late James Isaac and Tisha Mae (Jackson) Fridley. He was a firm believer in the LORD and was self-employed as a roofer. James enjoyed hunting, playing pool, darts, and driving his Trans-Ams. Mr. Fridley was an avid San Francisco 49ers and AC/DC fan. In addition to his parents, Mr. Fridley was preceded in death by a special cousin, J.D. Fridley and his beloved Boston Terrier “Luvlee”. Mr. Fridley leaves many loved ones behind, he is survived by his two daughters, Shelby Paige Fridley, 24, and Leighta Renee Fridley, 19; two sisters, Francis Fridley and Patricia Campbell Berry; his best friend, Jeff “Moose” Shiplett and his other Boston Terrier “Egor”. The family will receive friends on Sunday Afternoon from 3 until 5 PM at the Staunton Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes. A graveside service will be held on Monday September 27, 2021 at 11 AM at the Miller Memorial Cemetery near Craigsville with Rev. Linwood Wilkes officiating. Pallbearers for the service will be Steven Fridley, William Burke, Jeff Shiplett, Charles “Charlie Brown” Montgomery, Donald Spradlin, and Dale "Booters" Humphries.
