Helen Jean Harrah

Helen Jean Harrah, 93, of Terre Haute, passed away on Saturday, September 28, 2019, at her home. She was born on August 17, 1926, in Coalmont, to Wayne and Mabel (Kent) Johnson. Helen is survived by her sons, William W. Harrah and James Thomas (Gina) Harrah; brothers, James R. Johnson and Gary L. Johnson; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of over fifty years, James J. Harrah; and a brother, Karl Johnson. Helen was a teacher at Rio Grande Elementary for many years. She looked forward to meeting her retired teacher friends for their monthly breakfast. She was a member of the Indiana Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority, Omicron Chapter. She enjoyed reading books. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2019, at Roselawn Funeral Home. Services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, at the funeral home.
