Martha Alice Dillingham Rickard, 89, of Greenwood IN and formerly Terre Haute IN, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 8, 2020. She was born August 28, 1930 to Harold C. Dillingham and Nora Marie Lowe Dillingham.
Martha worked as a waitress, housekeeper, babysitter in her earlier years. She loved to serve in her church, First Church of the Nazarene. She sang in the choir, played piano and wrote and recorded many beautiful songs, she served on the church board, worked in children's ministries and women't ministries. She also volunteered in the Kitchen Band, Bell Choir and played piano for residents at local nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Her passion and servant's heart was to help feed the hungry. She started a small pantry at her church and continued being involved in to her 80's calling for the food pantry from her home. Everyone that knew Martha was touched by her kindness, her loving ways and especially her wonderful hugs.
Martha is survived by one daughter, Cheryl Ridge (Steve) and son, William Pitts (Christine). She has several Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Great-Great Grandchild, nieces and nephews. Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Rickard Jr., her parents, son, Darryl, grandsons Brian and William Jr., and 7 siblings and their spouses.There will be a private service held at Highland Lawn Cemetery.
