Sylvia E. McCown

Sylvia (Siverly) McCown, 90, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2019 at her residence. She was born August 11, 1928, in Truman, Arkansas, to Perry and Flossie (Gilligan) Siverly. She was the owner and operator of Sylvia's Ceramics which was in business from 1969 to 1992. She then volunteered at Union Hospital for several years. In her free time, she loved to go square dancing with her late husband, Philip. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Philip McCown; her son, Mick McCown; and her brother, Jack Buchanan. Sylvia is survived by her daughters, Cindy Brack and husband Virgil, and Teresa Lee and son-in-law Tommy Lee; two grandchildren, Mindy DiCenso and husband John, and Lee McGown and wife Rose; three great-grandchildren, Ellena and Olivia McGown, and Crystal (Jase) Keyes; one great-great-granddaughter, Lu Keyes; a sister-in-law, Ann Buchanan; and several nieces and nephews.
