Ruby C. Addington

Ruby C. Addington, 88, passed away peacefully in her home on June 6, 2018. She was born on January 31, 1930 to the late Versie and William E. Cantrell in Pound, Virginia. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years Israel Addington, great granddaughter Shelby, her brother, Winfred and her sister, Teresa. She is survived by her daughters, Carolyn Childress (John), and Pamela G. Addington and her fiancé John; grandchildren, Reyna Grassel (Jon), and Clayton Nichols (Lindsay); great grandchildren, Dakota, Peyton, Brooklyn, and Quinn; her brothers, Onsby, Carson, Ricky, Danny and Larry; and sisters, Delores and Mary. A visitation will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2018 from 6-8 p.m. at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, 4889 Princess Anne Rd., Virginia Beach, VA. A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. A burial will follow at Colonial Grove Memorial Park.
