Toni Monique English

Toni Monique English was born December 8, 1961 in Opa-Locka , Florida. The third child and second daughter of Joshua and Pauline Young English. She attended Bunche Park Elementary School, North Dade Jr. High and graduated from Miami Norland Sr. High in 1978. She continued her post high school education in accounting and worked for Sharpton and Brunson, PA accounting firm in Miami where she was a Junior Accountant. After leaving Sharpton and Brunson, Toni was hired by Urban Construction Development where she was Assistant controller. Toni moved to Virginia Beach, Virginia and continued her work in accounting and tax preparation. She worked for several non- profit organizations managing the company’s offices including helping people in the LGBTQ community who contracted HIV-AIDS with their social, personal and financial issues. Toni was a devout Christian who grew up in the church. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Bunche Park and was one of the founding members of New Way Fellowship Baptist Church. Toni was always there for her Nieces and Nephews, always giving them love, encouragement and moral support. She will always be remembered for her stylish way of dressing and was always ahead of her time in fashion and her appearance. Toni had an incredible sense of humor and could always make us laugh through tough times. A void is left in the heart of those who loved her. She is survived by Brothers: Michael English(Robin), Terrence English (Shawnay), Nieces: Tanai English, Ahriyon English, Jasmine English, Nephews: Michael Ryan English (Lorianne), James Keyan English (Jessica), Taj English(Pamela) and many Grand Nieces and Nephews.
