Vance Leland Brydge

Vance Leland Brydge, 76, of Lyndhurst, passed away on July 1, 2019 at the residence of his daughter surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 28, 1942 in Augusta County, a son of the late Vance and Ila Rea Ramsey Brydge. Leland worked in the construction field for many years and retired as a superintendent from the University of Virginia. He was a member of Lynside Mennonite Church in Lyndhurst. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Margaret D. Brydge of Lyndhurst; children, Kyle Brydge and wife, Kim of Nelson County and Lynette Brydge of Stuarts Draft; six grandchildren, Michael and fiancée, Alyssa, Kristin, Kristopher, Summer, Justin and wife, Holly, and Amber; nine great grandchildren, Wesley, Neveah, Ciara, Damien, Odyssey, Dixie, Cora, Dylan and Devin; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Carlton and Sharon Brydge and Eldon and Sue Brydge both of Lyndhurst; sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Robert Burkeholder of Stuarts Draft; and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will have a celebration of life service at 2:00 p.m. at Lynside Mennonite Church on Sunday, July 7, 2019.
