Anne Venable Troutman, 95, of Williamsburg, Virginia passed away December 23, 2015.
She was preceded in death by her husband, who she loved very much, Julius “Voight” Troutman.
She is survived by her son, James V. Troutman and his wife, Connie L. Troutman; daughter Nancy T. Twigg and her husband Leonard (Joe) Twigg; grandchildren David Brabrand, Diane Brabrand, William (Marty) Brabrand and Allison Brabrand; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to being a housewife and mother, Anne was a beautician and a member of Williamsburg United Methodist Church. She would talk with several of her neighbors on the phone daily. She loved and was loved by her neighbors. Her family will miss the weekly phone calls. She was a large influence in all our lives.
Grammy always had a list of projects for us to do when we visited. She would sit on the porch and provide direction as needed to make sure that we stayed on track with accomplishing the task at hand.
She was an excellent cook who enjoyed having everyone meet at her home for the holidays and the occasional Sunday dinner.
Anne will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Visitation will be on January 3, 2016 at Nelsen Funeral Home 3785 Strawberry Plains Rd, Williamsburg at 1:00 pm followed by a 2:00 pm service. Inurnment will follow at Williamsburg Memorial Park 130 King William Drive, Williamsburg.
