IN THE CARE OF
Nelsen Williamsburg
Lillian Mae Roncaglione Bazzle was born to Louis and Hazel Roncaglione of Amonate, VA on June 12, 1926. Lillian was born the fourth of six children and had a happy and blessed upbringing with her siblings. She was proud to be a coal miner’s daughter, and loved the Loretta Lynn song of the same name.
Lillian graduated from Big Creek High School in 1944, and went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from Concord College (Athens, WV) in 1948. At this time, Lillian decided she wanted to teach P.E. and Health in the secondary school system and continued on to receive her Masters Degree from the University of West Virginia. While working on her graduate degree, she fell in love with her soul mate, Ernie.
On December 26, 1950, Lillian married Ernest Bazzle in her hometown of Amonate, VA. The newlyweds moved to Richmond, VA before settling in Williamsburg. Lillian was very active in the community and enjoyed playing golf. But the highlight for her was welcoming her beloved son, Larry, to the family in 1960.
After Larry was grown, Lillian and Ernie completed their careers and retired. In 2013, after 62 years of marriage, Her life’s love, Ernie, preceded her in death. Since then Larry has lovingly and devotedly been by her side.
On Friday, April 23, 2021, Lillian went to be with her Maker, Ernie and loved ones. She passed over quietly, at home, with her cherished son, Larry, buy her side.
Forever and Eternally.
