Phyllis Dadd, 74, a resident of Williamsburg, passed away on Thursday, May 10, 2018. She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Augusta Rabinovitz and son Daniel Stephen Guralnick. Phyllis received a BA in History and a MA in Adult Education from Boston University and spent the years in her early career working with senior citizens helping to organize social action projects. While working for the State of Maryland, she worked in the office that was responsible for the overseeing and regulation of many of the state’s nursing homes. She left the position to raise her children and explore her artistic talents. In the mid 1990’s, Phyllis moved to Williamsburg, Virginia and shared her lifelong interest and knowledge of history with Colonial Williamsburg and future generations by becoming a historical interpreter for school groups. Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Esther Greenberg; son-in-law Michael Greenberg; and granddaughters, Emma and Clara. A visitation will be held Monday, May 14th at Nelsen Funeral Home, 3785 Strawberry Plains Road, Williamsburg from 6-8pm. The graveside service will follow Tuesday, May 15th at King David Memorial Garden, 7482 Lee Hwy, Falls Church, Virginia 22042 at 1pm.
