    Rick Sanders joined the Peacock-Newnam and White staff in 2010. He has worked in funeral service for over two decades, beginning while still in high school. He graduated from South Davidson High School in 1991 and served in the United States Army from 1991 to 1997. Rick graduated from Catawba College in 2002 with a bachelor's degree in business administration. He then went on to pursue an Associate of Applied Science at Fayetteville Technical Community College in the funeral service education program. Supporting his community, Rick became a member of Southport Lions Club, Richard H. Stewart American Legion Post 543 and Southport Baptist Church. His active personal life includes playing tennis and coaching his son’s soccer team. Rick is married and they have three children. Rick takes great pride in establishing a strong bond with the families he serves.

  • Shawna J Sanders


    Shawna Jacobs Sanders joined Peacock-Newnam and White in 2010 after relocating to Southport with her family. She graduated from Tabor City High School in 1991 and received an Associate of Applied Science degree at Fayetteville Technical Community College in the Funeral Service Education program. Assisting family members in their greatest time of need is something Shawna takes great pride in. She loves listening to each family express their feelings and attempts to personalize each service she provides. Shawna is married and very active in the lives of their three children. Shawna is a member of Southport Baptist Church, where she serves as a deacon and enjoys teaching the middle school youth group.

  • Gregory L White

    General Manager

    Former owner of the funeral home, Gregory White has provided compassionate care to the families in Brunswick County since 1979. Greg earned his degree in mortuary science from John A. Gupton College in Nashville, in 1982. He is proud to be part of the Dignity Memorial team, guiding you through one of the most personal times in life. When Greg is not at the funeral home, you will likely find him enjoying time with his wife and his twin granddaughters, in the woods hunting or out on their boat fishing.
