Marilynn Brand Gould

Marilynn Brand Gould passed away peacefully on July 3, 2017 at the age of 92. She was the devoted wife of 54 years of the late Kenneth Lawrence Gould. She leaves behind three loving children, Alison Gould Carter, Lawrence Brand Gould, and Meredith Wanner Gould; a grandson, Zachary Lawrence Carter; son-in-law, Michael Charles Carter, and daughter-in-law Kelli Gould. Marilynn was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo Frederick Brand and Helen Wanner Brand; a grandson, Charles Graham Carter, and a granddaughter, Rachel Delong Carter. Marilynn Gould was a graduate of Hockaday School in Dallas, TX and the University of Texas at Austin. She was fun and charming, attractive, and attentive and loved to socialize with her friends. She particularly enjoyed the outdoors and nature, and loved all animals, especially her pet dogs. She was an avid tennis player, enjoyed swimming and boating, and loved spending time with family in the 1000 Islands where she spent her summers since childhood. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 3:00 p.m. at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church, 8706 Quaker Lane, Bon Air, VA 23235.
