Norbert Louis Diekhoff

Norbert L. Diekhoff, 90, of Beech Grove, passed away December 13, 2017. He was born in Beech Grove the son of Lewis J. and Elta (Sheets) Diekhoff. He retired from International Harvester after more than 30 years. After retirement he worked at SmithKline Beecham. He was a US Navy Veteran and a lifelong member of Holy Name Catholic Church where he was also a member of the Choir. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Fr. Bernard Diekhoff and Charles Diekhoff; and his sister Mary Reed. He married Rosemary (Sanders) October 16, 1971 and she survives. Also surviving is his son, Michael Diekhoff and his wife Annmarie of Indianapolis; grandsons, Brock Michael and Matthew Louis Diekhoff; his sister Rita Ferguson of Indianapolis; and many nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 12:00 PM, Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Holy Name Catholic Church, 89 N. 17th Ave., Beech Grove, IN 46107. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 PM, Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Little and Sons Funeral Home, 1301 Main Street, Beech Grove, IN where a Rosary Service will begin at 7:00 PM. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Name Catholic Church and Honor Flight.
