 Obituario de Mary Jean Rodecker
Jean Rodecker , age 95, a resident of Indianapolis, passed away Sunday May 3rd. Born November 24, 1924, she was the daughter of Edward and Elizabeth Willging and spent her childhood years in LeMars, Iowa. She attended the University of Michigan, receiving a Bachelor of Arts. Jean was a deeply devoted member of St Pius X Catholic Church where she routinely attended daily mass and was an active volunteer of the church. She gave generously of her time to Easterseals Crossroads Center in the care of handicapped children and donating her time at the Indianapolis Symphony. Jean had many interests including gardening, collecting and refinishing antique furniture. She also enjoyed golfing at Woodland Country Club with the ladies’ group and with her husband, Joe. Jean was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Survivors include her two children, Carrie Pappas (George) and William Rodecker (Gail); 6 Grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Her husband Joseph and sister Betty preceded her in death. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on a date to be determined at St. Pius X Catholic Church. This date will be communicated in the parish Bulletin and website when public health policy allows. The family would like to thank the staff at The Hearth at Windermere for their care of Jean.
