Lelia Blackwell Raines 87, of Charlottesville, Virginia passed away January 19, 2020.
Lelia was born May 12, 1932 to the late James Harvey Blackwell and Ora Nixon Hepler Blackwell. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four sisters, Gladys Cook, Violet Becker, Martha McAllister and Vinda Miller and four brothers, Schuyler, Benny, James and Jack.
She is survived by her daughters, Audrey Dimarco and Karen Eppard of Charlottesville, VA; two sons Wayne Raines (Linda) and Dale Raines of Charlottesville, VA; a special friend and companion Maurice Thomas of Keswick, VA; two sisters Nellie Sandy of Stuarts Draft, VA and Janice Via of Chesterfield, VA; her grandchildren, Chris Humphreys, Brian Shifflett (Amanda), Michael Shifflett (Kira), Jessica Eppard and Britney Bailey. She is also survived by several great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Lelia retired from the County of Albemarle Real Estate Department.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 25, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at Teague Funeral Home, 2260 Ivy Road, Charlottesville, VA 22903, the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at Holly Memorial Gardens, Charlottesville, VA.
