Lillie Lavelle McCauley

Lillie Lavelle McCauley, 87, of Charlottesville, passed away on Sunday, March 28, 2021. Lillie was born on February 12, 1934, in Charlottesville, to the late Willie Elmo Ray and Nora Lee Kirby. Lillie lived in Charlottesville her entire life. She served the community as a Nurse and Mid-wife. She loved caring for people in the community. When she wasn't caring for someone she was enjoying her seek and find books or putting together a jigsaw puzzle. She loved nature and the animals that would come upon her land. In addition to her parents, Lillie was preceded in death by her husband, John McCauley; three of her brothers, Junior Ray, Naymond Ray and Johnny Ray; and by her daughter Karen Rebecca Fisk. She is survived by her daughters Patricia Moody and spouse Doug, and Adele Ramsey and Tommy; brothers Randall Ray and Guy Ray and wife Elsie; multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 3, 2021, at 11am, at Mount Moriah United Methodist Church Cemetery, 4524 Garth Rd, Charlottesville, VA 22901.
