Sevastia Nicholaou

Sevastia P. Nicholaou, age 94, went to be with the Lord on June 7, 2018. She was the daughter of Nicholas and Maria Pesmatzoglou of Athens Greece. She emigrated from Athens Greece during the aftermath of World War 2 to pursue an education and opportunity. She was a life-long member of the Greek Orthodox Church. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Lazaros and her son John and is survived by her daughter Helen, her son Michael and his wife Terri, her three grandchildren, Elizabeth, Baker and Effie, granddaughter-in-law Christina and her two great-grandchildren. Services will be held in Charlottesville at the Transfiguration Greek Orthodox Church at 1pm on Wednesday June 13th. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made in her name to either the Hospice of the Piedmont in Charlottesville Virginia or the St Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church, Building Fund, in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
