Alix M. Marr, 61, formerly of Columbus, died unexpectedly at her home Saturday, April 3, 2010.
Ms. Marr had made her home in Annapolis the past 20 years. She was one of the original homeowners in Mariner's Point and was involved with the Anne Arundel Neighborhood Watch program.
She was born in Columbus September 16, 1948, the daughter of Henry and Lucille Miller Marr.
Ms. Marr was a flight attendant for Eastern Airlines and World Airways. While with World Airways, she was based in Sicily for one year.
She attended Indiana University.
She is survived by a sister, Mikal Marr Urban, and brother-in-law, William Urban, of Marietta, GA; a sister-in-law, Deidre Freed Eldridge of Brownsburg, IN; nephews, Christian Marr of Brownsburg, IN, and James Marr of Cincinnati, OH; and nieces, Abigail Marr of Washington, D.C., and Jessica Urban Hoyle of Honolulu, Hawaii.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2010, at Hathaway-Myers Chapel on Pearl Street with Al White officiating. Calling will be from 1 p.m. until service time Friday. Burial will be at Garland Brook Cemetery.
