Teresa Freyek

Teresa Ann Freyek (nee Bennett), born December 25, 1946, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 8, 2018. Preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, John A. Freyek, her parents Conrad and Lucille Bennett, and her sisters, Brenda Light and Betty Bliss. Loving mother of Sharon (David) Gray, Andrea (Chris) Sherwin and John (Shannon) Freyek. Teresa was a loving Nonny to Adam, Jackson, John, Isabel, Jacob, Michael, Madison and Catherine as well as extended grandchildren Luke, Anne and Adaire. Also surviving are brothers Roy (Romona) Bennett, and Johnny (Joyce) Bennett, sisters Sue Hardesty, Debbie (Gary) Raketich, Cathy (John) Denham and many cousins, nieces and nephews. Teresa was a long time member of the Longwood Country Club and Wicker Park Ladies Golf Leagues, was an active participant in the local Parkinson's Disease support group, and spent many happy years as a volunteer at Community Hospital. Teresa was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother and will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, April 12, 2018 at 10:00 AM at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home (8178 Cline Avenue Crown Point, IN) with Rev. Mark Wilkins officiating. Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN. Friends are invited to meet with the family on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 2:00-8:00 PM and on Thursday morning from 9:00 AM until time of service at the funeral home.
