 Obituario de Linda Raye Keesling
Linda Keesling (née Kilby) died peacefully on July 4, 2018 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA at the age of 70 years after struggling with pulmonary fibrosis/hypertension. Linda is survived by her husband of 42 years, Michael Keesling of Hampshire County, WV, daughter Kristina Keesling of Charlottesville, VA and stepson Kurtis Keesling and his wife Dena of Hampshire County, WV. She was a loving grandmother to granddaughters Kayla, Brittany, Chaylyn, and Devyn, and great-granddaughters Aria, Aubrey, and Ryker. Beloved niece and nephew Constance and Richard Kilby, and their mother Carol Kohne; 4 nieces Teresa, Tracy, Tammy and Tiffany Kilby; childhood friend and “sister” Pam and her husband David Curtis; step-granddaughter Skylar and her mother Carol will also lovingly remember her. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lenwood Taylor Kilby and Elsie Hitt Kilby, her brother Richard and her granddaughter Taylor. Linda graduated from Culpeper County High School in 1968. She married Michael, a Naval Vietnam veteran, in 1976. Linda enjoyed her work at Virginia Orthopedic Center and Culpeper Hospital. Her children remember her as an unconditionally loving and spirited mother who always encouraged them to do their best and be kind. Linda loved going to concerts with her daughter, craft painting, music, shopping, golfing and reading. She had a big, giving heart and made everyone feel like family. She loved her cats dearly. She leaves behind Izzy, Natalie Wood, Lucille Ball and grandkitty Zoey, and is preceded in death by Moose, Jezebel, Patches and Chester. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Clore-English Funeral Home, 11190 James Monroe Highway, Culpeper, VA, with a potluck gathering to follow at VFW hall in Culpeper from 4-6pm. All are welcome to celebrate Linda’s life and share favorite stories and fond memories. Memorial donations may be made to the Humane Society of Morgan County at P.O. Box 705, Berkeley Springs, WV 25411. Flowers may be sent to Clore-English Funeral Home the day of the memorial. Condolences may be given at clore-english.com.
