Alice Lenore Boyd

Lenore Boyd, 94, of Evansville, IN, passed away February 6, 2019 at Parkview Care Center with her family by her side. She was born on July 2, 1924 to the late Robert and Lela Terrell. Lenore was a life-long member of Howell General Baptist Church where she played the organ and piano for many years. She retired from the L & N Railroad in 1980 where she worked for 28 years. Lenore was preceded in death by her husband John Boyd; sisters, Marjorie Terrell and Lela “Frances” Eichele; brother, Robert Terrell, and granddaughter Melissa Ramsey. She is survived by her sons; David (Sandy) Moody of Patoka, IN, Daniel (Mary) Moody of Wadesville, IN; daughter Barbara (Don) Ramsey of Rochelle, GA; grandchildren, Amber Elkins, Matthew Moody, Heather Campbell, Robert Moody; and 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at Alexander Memorial Park Chapel of Remembrance, officiated by Bro. Terry Gamblin. Friends may visit 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, February 11, 2019 at Alexander West Chapel and Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time at Alexander Memorial Park Chapel of Remembrance.
