Barbara J Mattingly

Barbara J. Mattingly, 86, of Evansville, IN passed away Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Linda E. White Hospice. She was born on May 29, 1936 to the late Ralph and Mayzella Lance. She was a long time member of Westwood Church and the DFO Sunday School Class. She enjoyed cooking and loved family gatherings. She was an avid Chicago Cubs and Reitz football fan. Barbara and her husband loved to travel, they owned an RV for 12 years and visited all 50 states. They were married for 69 years and renewed their vows on their 67th Anniversary. Barbara was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Donald Lemp; brother-in-law, Ben Curtis. She is survived by her husband of 69 years Ronald Eugene Mattingly; son, Mark A. Mattingly (Mary Jean) and their daughter Cassandra; daughter, Shari Lemp; sister, Kathy Curtis; grandchildren, Jerry Thacker III, Katelin Benefiel, Logan Weiss; great grandchildren, Bianca Cruz, Natalia Cruz, Nora Bogard, Christian Benefiel; nephew, Cory Stateler; her beloved dog, Jazzy. A funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 5, 2022 at Alexander West Chapel with entombment to follow in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2022 at the funeral home.
