Danny T. Rizen

Danny Rizen, 66, of Evansville, IN, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2019 at St. Vincent Hospital. He was born September 19, 1952, in Evansville, IN to Charles T. and Mary Kathryn “Kathy” (Rudisill) Rizen. Danny recently retired from the Evansville Vanderburgh Building Authority, where he worked for 32 years. He graduated from Memorial High School in 1970 where the Memorial Tigers baseball team made it the state championship game that year. Danny was an avid sports and horse racing fan, and enjoyed the beach. Along with his retirement, he enjoyed precious time with his sons and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles. Danny is survived by his wife of 46 years, Terry Rizen; sons, Kyle Rizen (Amy) and Cameron Rizen (Ashlee); grandchildren, Grady and Garner Rizen; mother, Kathy; brothers, Charley Rizen (Celia) and Brad Rizen (Sharon); sister-in-law, Debi Reisinger (Glen); and nieces and nephews. His wish was to be cremated with a Celebration of Life Service to be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Permanently Disabled Jockeys Fund, www.pdjf.org.
