Mamie Cline, 98, of Evansville, passed away Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at West River Health Campus. She was born January 5, 1920, in Evansville, IN to the late John and Kathrine (Effinger) Catiller.
She worked at Wolf’s Barbecue, the Executive Inn and Chili King for many years. Mamie attended St. Paul’s UCC and was a member of Eastern Star Cynthiana Chapter, Armstrong School PTA and VFW #1114 Ladies Auxiliary. She loved quilting, sewing, dancing and socializing.
Mamie was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Robert Cline; son, John Earl Cline; grandson, John P. Sullivan; siblings, John, Ella, Juanita and Margaret; and her parents.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda Sullivan; very special friend, Kenneth Boyd; grandchildren, Lee Ann Barthlow (Larry), Mamie McDonald (Tim), Cheree Madding (Shaun), Brandi Cline and John E. Cline (Natalie); 11 great-grandchildren; and three great, great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, April 14, 2018, at Alexander West Chapel, officiated by Pastor Terry Farmer, with burial in Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
