Pauline “Polly” Snapp 90, of Evansville, IN passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2019 at Deaconess Gateway Hospital. She was born in Drakesboro, KY on August 26, 1929 to the late Andrew Taylor and May Travis.
She was a F. J. Reitz 1947 graduate. She worked at George Koch sons in the accounting department from 1947 to 1953. She spent the following years raising her family. Polly was a member of CFC since 1978, she was active in worship, upper room Sunday school and a member of the Bill and Shirley Gilles support group, and helped with Bereavement dinners. She loved Bus tours, trips with friends to the Smoky Mountains and Florida, Cardinal baseball, and gospel music concerts. She was a loving mother. Her favorite things to do was to spend time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren, traveling with friends, playing cards, games and dominos with sister and friends.
She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Eugene Travis at 10 months old, Margaret Russell (Bob); granddaughter, Megan Snapp.
Polly is survived by her husband of 70 years, Paul Snapp; daughter, Lynda Reid (Bob); son, David Snapp (Shelley); sister, Barbara (Bill) Bowles; grandchildren, Amanda (Andrew) Michel, Joy (James) Gifford, Laura (Patrick) Merten, Sam (Lindsay) Reid, Emily (Joseph) Brawner; and 6 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 7, 2019 at Alexander West Chapel officiated by David Niednagel. With entombment to follow at Alexander Memorial Park. Friends may visit 3-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Christian Fellowship Church.
