 Obituario de Hamid Abtahi
Hamid Abtahi was born in Iran and was the 4th child of 6 to Morteza Abtahi and Aghdas Mohammadi Shoja. Growing up, he was a kind and sweet child. After high school, he adopted a love of cars and in particular the Volkswagen Bug. He owned many of them throughout his life. During the war between Iran and Iraq, when the government was looking to draft young men, he had an opportunity to leave the country through the southwest border. Unfortunately, he was captured and imprisoned. Then after some time, he saw another opportunity to leave the country and took another risk to leave for a better life and freedom. This time, he was successful and made it to Germany; however, during his escape his back was injured. He lived in Frankfort for a few years until he could get approval to enter United States. After his entry into the USA, he took the initiative to learn English. His love for automobiles gave him job opportunities. He became a parent to two beautiful children, Montana and Minna. He loved his children and spoiled them often. He was proud of his son and daughter and always encouraged them to earn a higher education and be good citizens. He loved the Zoroastrian philosophy of good thoughts, good deeds, and good words, and was a proud Persian-American. He was kind, optimistic, creative, very talented, and always willing to lend a hand. His love for nature, trees, flowers, and animals of all kinds - especially dogs - was evident in his life. He was a proud homeowner and loved spending time taking care of his house and garden. He enjoyed family, friends, and discussing Persian history. He is survived by two children, Montana (26) and Minna (25); five siblings, Eshrat, Fereydoun, Allen, Narjes and Kathy; and eleven nieces and nephews.
