Barbara Jean Work

Barbara J. Work, 81, went to be with our Lord Jesus, Friday, February 8, 2019. She was the third daughter of the late Herbert J. and Delphine Bauer and was a lifetime resident of Fort Wayne. She enjoyed her summer home with her family at Manapogo, fishing. She is survived by the love of her life and spouse of 63 years Robert; children Linda (Bruce) McGehee, David Work and Polly (Steve) Hull and; brother Herbert (Patricia) Bauer; grandchildren Brandon (Elise) Bohl, Jason (Dorinda) Work, Whitney (Paul) Mendez, Nicholas (Johanna) Work, Mason Work and Emily Hull and Great Grandchildren Paul Jr., Isabelle, Gabrielle, Jadee, Annabelle, Isaiah, Malachai, Gabriel, Lilly, Arianna, Elijah; and two unborn babies. She was preceded in death by her son Michael and sisters Dorothy and Carol. Mass of the Catholic Burial will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 12, 2019, with visitation one hour prior at St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Catholic Church, 11337 U.S. 27, Fort Wayne. Visitation will also be 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday with Rosary service at 4:00 p.m., February 11, 2019, at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home, 6424 Winchester Road. She will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Hessen Cassel Cemetery. The family requests memorial gifts be made to Robert Work.
