Correen D. Walmsley

Correen D. Walmsley, 78, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Monday, September 7, 2020. She was born in Detroit, MI on September 19, 1941, the daughter of the late William and Delores Connolly. Correen worked at Magnavox for several years before her retirement. In her spare time, she enjoyed traveling with her family, camping, family get-togethers and cooking big meals. She was a music lover and especially fond of Elvis. The kids always referred to her as the "candy lady." She is survived by her children, Faye Walmsley, "Beverly" Kaye (Chester) Richey, Patrick (Susan) Walmsley, Heather (Bob) Deal; grandchildren, Robert Muncie, Cody Muncie, Jazmin (Michael) Simpson, Nicholas Carlson, Makaelah Stockel, Rachel Walmsley, Kassi Stockel, Paul Richey, Luke Stockel; siblings, Beverly Chinavare, and James Connolly. Correen was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Paul Walmsley; granddaughter, Kelly Marie Walmsley. A funeral service will be held at 1:30pm on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home (1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne), with visitation one hour prior. Visitation will also be held from 5-9pm on Friday, September 11, 2020 at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne, IN.
