Esther M. Fritz

Esther M. Fritz, 96, of Fort Wayne, passed away on Monday, December 31, 2018 at Chapman Place Assisted Living, Fort Wayne. Born August 13, 1922 in Fort Wayne, she was a daughter of the late Walter and Sophie (Busse) Schust. A graduate of Central High School, Esther was employed with General Electric, Wayne Knitting Mill and was a Nanny for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, fishing at the lake and traveling to Florida in the winter months. She is survived by her son-in-law, Charles "Chuck" (Nancy) Miller of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Matthew (Jill) Miller and Lisa (Eric) Korte, both of New Haven; great-grandchildren, Garrett, Logan, Lauren, and Hayden Korte; siblings, Helen (Randy) Porter of Squim, Wash., and Richard (Carol) Schust of Wolcottville, Ind. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Paul H. Fritz; daughter, Deborah Miller; and sisters, Mildred Heinkel and Dorothy Pooler. Funeral Service will be 11:00am on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Hockemeyer and Miller Funeral Home, 6131 St. Joe Rd., Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior.
