Marcelene Mary Soest

Marcelene Mary Soest, 93, of Fort Wayne, passed away on June 7, 2018, at Lutheran Life Villages. Marcelene was born on July 31, 1924, to the late Cyril and Marie (Bobay) Reuille in Fort Wayne. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. She volunteered for Firefighters Auxiliary, Lutheran Life Villages for 55 years, Associated Church's Food Bank, and several other community organizations. Marcelene is survived by her children, James (JoAnne) Soest, Nannette (David) McGuigan, and Michael Soest; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and sister, Donna Morris. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Soest; and sisters, Georgiana Leazier and Norma Bultemeier. Funeral service will be on Thursday, June 14, 2018, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church (3705 S Anthony Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46806) at 11:00 am with visitation one hour prior. Burial will follow at Lindenwood Cemetery. Visitation will also be Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Lutheran Life Villages Chapel (6723 S Anthony Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46816) from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and at Klaehn, Fahl & Melton Funeral Home (6424 Winchester Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46819) from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or Lutheran Life Villages.
