Margaret Ann Corazzi

Margaret Ann “Anne” Madsen Corazzi, 84, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Born April 22, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois, to Carl T. and Eileen Mae (Hearle) Madsen, she grew up in Whiting, Indiana, and graduated from George Rogers Clark Grade and High School in Hammond, Indiana. Anne graduated from Ball State University where she received her master's degree in education. While at Ball State, Anne was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. She taught elementary school in New Castle, Daleville, and Fort Wayne for more than 30 years, retiring from FWCS. Anne is survived by her four children: Linda Corazzi Millette, Fort Wayne; Susan Corazzi Goodwin, Sacramento, California; Edward Corazzi, Ocean Beach, California; and Beth (Dave) Corazzi Ratliff, Muncie, Indiana. Grandchildren: Jessica Millette, Ocean Beach, California: and Jason Millette, Fort Wayne, Indiana. She is survived by her sister Jane (Edwin) Madsen Bescherer, Wilton, Connecticut; and Carl “Buzz” (Stephany) Madsen, Phoenix, Arizona. Also surviving are her former husband Edward Corazzi, many cousins, nieces, and nephews. Preceding Anne in death were her parents and her sister Elizabeth Madsen Ciesar. She enjoyed reading, needlepoint, gardening, antiques, travel, and was an avid and exceptionally talented rug hooker. Anne’s funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Advantage Funeral Home, 2403 East Wallen Road, Fort Wayne, with visitation two hours prior. Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana or bring a hardback children’s book to Advantage Funeral Home to donate in her name.
