 Obituario de Virginia Sue Marte
Virginia Sue Marte (Jenny Sue, Ginny), 76, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, November 24, 2018, after a difficult battle with Alzheimer's and kidney disease. Jenny was born in Kimberly, West Virginia and spent most of her life in Northern Virginia (Arlington, Alexandria, and Woodbridge). She retired to Keller, Texas to be close to her son, Michael Marte, and grandchildren Alli and Stephen. She spent her final years in Stafford, VA after the passing of her husband, Fred, with her daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and James Cheshire. Jenny was a devoted wife and mother. She had a loving and generous heart and spent her time tirelessly caring for others. She worked her entire career, in the medical field, in and around Arlington Hospital, as an X-ray technologist and then as an office manager in a medical office. She was a breast cancer survivor. She went through radiation and chemo and never took a day off work. She always showed amazing strength. She never complained. She didn't know the word no. She made the world around her home for everyone and everything. She loved to make her surroundings beautiful and welcoming. She enjoyed decorating and gardening. She was an animal lover. Everything blossomed around her. She made the world around her a better place. She is the glue that held everyone close. I am grateful to have had this beautiful soul fill my heart. She was my anchor and I am broken without her, but I know she is now at peace. I love you, mom, more than words can say. She is preceded in death by her husband, Alfredo; her parents, John and Julia Barton; siblings Martha Jane, Richard, and Joseph; aunt and uncle, Virginia and Murel Pritt; aunt, Rose Hess; brother-in-law, James Nutter; nephew, Rodney Dunn; and niece, Tammy Nutter. Jenny is survived by her children, Michael Marte and Lisa Cheshire; her son-in-law James Cheshire; her daughter-in-law, Michelle Truscelli; grandchildren, Allison and Stephen Marte; brother, John Barton Jr and sister-in-law Lynn; sister, Bertha Nutter; nieces and nephews, Kenna, Jana, Timothy, James and Carolyn, and Steve; cousins, Sue, Tracy, and Tonya Fox. A graveside service will be held in Quantico National Cemetery on Friday, November 30, 2018 at 10 am.
