Franklin Delano Nester

Franklin Delano Nester, age 76, of Fremont, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Northern Lakes Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Angola, Indiana. Frank was born on September 9, 1941, in Hueysville, Kentucky, the son of Jake Nester and Oma (Handshoe) Nester Wicker. He grew up in Lima, Ohio, and liked to spend time in Kentucky. He married Brenda Hawkins on January 29, 1963 in Wapakoneta, Ohio, and moved to Steuben County, Indiana, later that year. Frank was the owner of a machining business” Ranco”. He was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness. His hobbies included traveling and reading. Survivors include his children, Brad (Lori) Nester of Fremont, Indiana, Kim (Terry) Scott of Fremont, Indiana, David (Whan) Nester of Thailand, Robert (Susan) Park of Ada, Ohio, and Cheryl Lawson, Lima, Ohio, nine grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, two sisters, Teresa Waterman of Toledo, Ohio, and Judy (Lynn) Stark of Lima, Ohio, and two brothers, Babe (Linda) Wicker of Conroe, Texas, and Cloyd Wicker of Butler, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Nester on August 20, 2003, his parents, and three brothers, Steve Wicker, Woodrow Wicker, and Bob Wicker. Memorial Services will be held at 4 pm Sunday, April 8, 2018 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2725 IN- 827, Angola, Indiana. Calling hours will be held from 2-4 pm Sunday at the Kingdom Hall, prior to the memorial service. Burial will take place in Powers Cemetery of Angola, Indiana, at a later date. Memorials donations in his memory are requested to the family.
