Randle DeWayne Walchle, age 89, of Angola, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Parkview Hospital, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
Randy was born on January 23, 1929 in Fort Wayne, Indiana to Walter and Wanita (Laisure) Walchle.
He graduated from Monmouth High School. He served our Country in the US Army in the Korean War.
Randy married Joyce Dow on April 5, 1953 in Eatontown, New Jersey, she survives.
He worked for Swift-Eckrich in Quincy, Michigan for 42 years, and retired as transportation manager.
Randy loved his family, and adored his grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and enjoyed playing golf, and watching basketball. Randy and Joyce rescued their dog Emily from the Steuben County Humane Shelter, and she was the absolute love of his life next to his wife, Joyce. Emily just recently passed a few months ago.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Walchle of Angola, Indiana, sons, Jeffrey Walchle of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and Peter Walchle, and David (Dee) Walchle, both of Angola, Indiana, seven grandchildren, Shannon Walchle, Adam Walchle, Andrea Walchle, Haley Walchle, Trent Walchle, Tyler Walchle, and Lindsay Leitz, nine great-grandchildren, two brothers, Russell Walchle of Decatur, Indiana, and Walter Walchle of Nokomis, Florida, and a sister, Violet (Leo) Sheets of Venice, Florida.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2 pm Sunday, September 9, 2018 at the Angola V.F.W., 2013 North Wayne Street, Angola, Indiana.
Memorial Donations in his memory are requested in care of the Community Humane Shelter of Steuben County, P.O. Box 204, Angola, Indiana 46703.
