Darrel Fine, 83, of Greencastle passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at his residence.
Darrel was born in Greencastle on May 27, 1938, the son of Amos and Helen (Poynter) Fine, and was a 1956 graduate of Greencastle High School.
Mr. Fine was a Mechanic in various places, and was the Owner and Operator of Fine Kawasaki in Greencastle for 12 years. He drove a Matco Tool Truck for 7 years, and was self-employed restoring cars. Darrel was a member of the Fillmore United Methodist Church, Moose Lodge #1592, American Legion Post #58, and Early Ford V8 Car Club #56, He was also a former member of the Elks Club. Darrel enjoyed restoring antiques, motorcycle riding, and gardening.
Survivors include his wife of 61 years Barbara Fine, Greencastle; two children, Lisa Fine Carfield, Plainfield, and Robb Fine, (wife-Victoria), Indianapolis; three grandsons, Bryan Tyler, (wife-Claire), Greencastle, Bryce Tyler, Fillmore, and Eric Fine, Indianapolis; a step-grandson, Logan Johnson; a sister, Pat Neal, Florida; a niece and a nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Hopkins-Rector Funeral Home with Pastors Steve Ailes and Bryan Palmer-Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Stilesville Cemetery. Visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. until time of service on Thursday.
