Thomas Joseph Deom, 75, of Greencastle, passed away on Sunday, December 20, 2020.
Born May 31, 1945 in Poseyville, IN., he was the son of Arthur Joseph and Lillian Mabel (Basinger) Deom. Tom was a graduate of North Posey High School and received is associates degree in Robotics Technology from National Technical Schools.
Tom retired from Thompson Consumer Electronics (former RCA), where he had worked for 19 years.
He was a member of New Hope Fellowship Church.
Tom is survived by his wife, Carol L. (Spurling) Deom, whom he married on August 24, 1996. His step children, Martin (Jennifer) Hanks, Melinda (Jeffrey) Peters, and Danielle Dickson; foster son, David Bachert; sisters, Sue Deom, Monica Winters, and Pat Flynn; grandchildren, Alex, Jake, David, Cody, Caity, Shandi, Caleb, Kira, & Sandy; and seven great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Lawrence, Alfred I., & Francis Eugene Deom; eight sisters, Marie Kobert, Ruth Greenwood, Eleanor Deom, Lucille Deom, Margaret Engleking, Rita Hahn, Catherine Deom, Dorothy Lagapa, and Joan Bayh.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, December 28, 2020 at New Hope Fellowship Church, 2450 N. US Hwy 231 Greencastle, IN. 46135.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 Noon until time of service at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Tom to the Christmas Store c/o of the Church.
