Tommy Allen Clampitt

Tommy A. Clampitt, 70, of Danville, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2019 surrounded by family. He was born January 29, 1949 in Indianapolis, IN, the son of Harry and Birdie (Baire) Clampitt and was a graduate of George Washington High School in Indianapolis. Tommy served in the United States Army and was a Disabled American Veteran. He retired as a Sergent from RDC in Plainfield. He is survived by his wife, Mary (Stamey) Clampitt; children, Dawnyel Spears, Lori (husband, Randy) Lamb, and Keith Clampitt; a brother, Harlan (wife, Sandy) Clampitt; 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Harry Wayne and Vern Clampitt. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 29, 2019 at the New Life Baptist Church 51 Ridgeway St. Greencastle, IN. Interment with military honors will follow at the Bainbridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at the church.
