Ethel June Barnes-Bardsley, 81, of Billings passed away on May 12, 2012. She was born July 12, 1930 to Edward and Esther (Meyer) Cramer in Greensburg, IN. Ethel graduated from New Point High School in New Point, IN in 1948. She worked as a bookkeeper with her husband at Barnes Equipment, later for Todd's Clothing, and also as manager of Skybird Assisted Living. Ethel was a life-time member at Sandcreek Baptist Church, Greensburg and attended Calvary Chapel in Bluffton, IN and the Decatur County Better-Halves Home-Ec Club. She was known for her handiwork and crafts. She was married to Cedric A. Barnes on August 15, 1948. After Cedric's death, she married Bruce E. Bardsley on March 23, 1991. Bruce and Ethel moved to Ballantine, Montana in July 2002. Ethel loved her friends and family and cherished the time spent with them. She will be remembered very fondly by all who knew her and missed by her family who loved her dearly.
Ethel was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Cedric A. Barnes and Bruce E. Bardsley; sister, Alma Cramer Budd; brother, Dale Cramer; and step-son, David Bardsley. She is survived by her children, Kevin A. Barnes of Greensburg and Robin L. Scheidler of Ballantine; step-daughter Pegi Crosbie of Bluffton; brother, Raymond Cramer of Greensburg; thirteen grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home, 110 E. N. St., Greensburg, on Friday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home with burial to follow in South Park Cemetery.
