Dreama Kelley Harlowe

Dreama Catherine Kelley Harlowe, 95, of Yorktown, passed away on Thursday, April 25, 2024. Dreama was born on October 13, 1928 to John Gilbert Kelley and Mary Kelley Wright in Covington, Virginia. She was a member of the graduating class of 1945 from E.C. Glass High School in Lynchburg, Virginia. She met the love of her life, Harold Jasper Harlowe, and they married on November 24, 1951. She was Harold’s devoted wife for 65 years before his passing on November 22, 2016. Over the years, she worked for several businesses as a bookkeeper, but her passion was caring for her family—making a loving home and creating many special memories. She was a wonderful mother to her daughter, Kelley, and a loving grandmother “Nanny” to her granddaughter, Robyn. She was also a long-time member of Orcutt Baptist Church in Newport News. Dreama is predeceased by her beloved husband, Harold; and her parents. Left to cherish her memory is her loving daughter, Kelley H. Crawford (Ronald); and her granddaughter, Robyn Kelley Walters-White (Robert). The family will welcome friends on Wednesday, May 1, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home, 2551 North Armistead Avenue, Hampton, VA 23666. A private entombment will follow at Parklawn Memorial Park. The family would like to extend a special “thank you” to all those who cared for Dreama at The Chesapeake and Amedisys Hospice.
