Jarvis Bruno Redd

Jarvis Bruno Redd was born on September 6, 1952. A 1971 graduate of G.W. Carver High School, Redd had a lifelong love for fishing, cooking and spending time with his friends. An avid sports fan, Sundays were dedicated to watching the Denver Broncos. Jarvis Redd made friends with everyone who crossed his path and left each person with a smile on their face. On January 4, 2019, Jarvis Redd exited this world surrounded by friends and family. He is survived by his siblings, Chairassia Jenkins and Darryl Burton (Bo) and the Burton Family; sister-in-law, Nancy D. Redd; nephews, Corey and Shaun Redd; and nieces, Shannon Redd and Lauren Redd Ertekin. Welcoming him to his new heavenly home is his father, Thomas O. Redd; his mother, Fannie Alston Redd; and brother, Thomas I. Redd; as well as host of loving relatives and friends. A memorial service will be held Friday, January 11, 2019 at Parklawn-Wood Funeral Home at 1:00 pm with a repast to follow at Langley Village Community Center in Hampton. Interment will take place at Hampton Memorial Gardens at a later date.
