Frances A. Masters

Frances A. Masters, 96, of Leo, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at The Cedars in Leo. Born March 23, 1922 in Harlan, Ind., she was the daughter of the late Merritt and Wilma (Miller) Oberholtzer. A graduate of Harlan High School, class of 1940, she participated in the band, theatre and was in class offices yearly. On September 25, 1954 she married the love of her life, Robert L. Masters, who passed away in 1999. She was employed with General Electric for 14 years and a member of the GE Elex Club. She enjoyed reading, sewing, cooking, music, and bowling. She was a beloved mom and grandma who loved spending time with her family and friends. Surviving are her children, Craig (Lisa) Masters of Fort Wayne and Robin (Greg) Keyser of Leo; four grandchildren, Clara Masters and Chase (Carrie Luke) Masters, and Wes and Callie Keyser; and special friend, Elizabeth. Funeral Service will be 1:00pm on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Hockemeyer Funeral Home, 17629 SR 37, Harlan, IN with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be 5-8pm on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at the funeral home. Burial at Scipio Cemetery, Harlan, IN. Memorials may be made to Heart to Heart Hospice.
