Heidemarie Elsa Chorak

Heidemarie Elsa Chorak, age 80, of Tippecanoe, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, May 18, 2022. Heidemarie was born January 8, 1942. She was born to Mr. and Mrs. Sahs in Heidelberg, Germany. Heidemarie is survived by her daughter Mary Rogan; her son Ron Sahs; and her son Daniel Chorak (Virginia (Ginger) Chorak); her granddaughter Jessica Chorak, her granddaughter Brandi Chorak, her grandson Ryan Lannon and her grandson Timothy Chorak. Heidemarie was preceded in death by her grandson Craig Lannon. Heidimarie had 16 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. Heidimarie came to the United States in 1958 and was married to Daniel S. Chorak for 60 years prior to his passing. She and her family lived in Sauk Village, IL for 50 years, then moved to Tippecanoe, IN to live on the river with her son Daniel and daughter-in-law Virginia. For 16 years she worked at KFC in Dyer, IN. Heidimarie loved helping people, especially those in distress. She loved her dogs and planting flowers. She found peace while sunbathing and listening to her favorite artist Tom Jones. She adored all of her children and grandchildren and enjoyed going out to eat. A public visitation for Heidemarie will be held Monday, June 6, 2022 from 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd., Highland, IN 46322. A funeral service will occur Monday, June 6, 2022 at 12:30 PM with Rev. Theodore Mens officiating. A burial to follow at 2:00 PM at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens Cemetery in the Veterans Garden, 8178 Cline Ave., Crown Point, IN 46307.
