Olean M Todd

Olean M. Todd, age 92, of Merrillville, IN, passed away peacefully at the Towne Centre Assisted Living Facility on Friday, July 17, 2020. She was born on May 4, 1928 to the late Andrew and Savannah (Jones) Michaels in Mississippi. Olean was a follower of the Lord Jesus Christ and an active member in both churches she attended, Bible Baptist Church in Portage, IN and South Point Community Church in Merrillville, IN. Olean is welcomed in to eternity by her beloved husband of 52 years, Lee Todd; parents, Andrew and Savannah Michaels; daughter, Nancy (Tim) Polewski; grandson, Shawn Polewski; son-in-law, John (Jan) Shifley, and grandson, Lonny (Janet) Shifley. She leaves behind her children, Jan (Ed) Shifley, Ronald (Jude) Todd; four grand children, Michele, Eric, Ashley and Melissa; three great-grandchildren: Kayla, Jack, and Johnny. Kuiper Funeral Home is entrusted with the care of Mrs. Todd and per family's request, a private funeral service will take place at a later date with interment held at Ridgelawn Cemetery in Gary, IN.
