Alois W. Dauer

Alois W. Dauer, 86 of Fort Wayne passed away at 10:14 pm on Monday, April 29, 2019 at Lutheran Hospital. Alois was born in Germany and immigrated to the United States when he was 18 years old and joined the United States Army. He had worked as an engineering technician on the East Coast. He enjoyed fishing, golf, snow skiing and traveling with his wife. He was born on January 28, 1933 in Unterelsbach, Germany, the son of Karl and Anna (Hay) Dauer. He was united in marriage to Jacqueline Reber on July 12, 1980 at Middle Island, New York. She preceded him in death in 2007. Survivors include four nephews: Peter (Shannon) Mantica of Fort Wayne; Andrew (Casi) Geissler of Portland, OR; Reiner (Carol) Geissler of Florida; Patrick Hotchkiss of Arizona; and two nieces: Heather (Jesse) Inestroza of Virginia; Teale (Travis) Bloom of Arizona and a sister-in-law: Rita (Cliff) Hotchkiss of Arizona. There will be no services. Interment will take place at a later date at Star of Hope Cemetery.
