Karen K. Fausz

Karen K. Fausz, 81 of Mesa Arizona and formerly of Huntington County passed away on October 9, 2021 at her residence. Karen was a 1958 graduate of Jefferson High School. She was a homemaker and travel agent. In her early years she was a Sunday school teacher and helped in the nursery. She loved activities where she could teach and lead children. She became a full-time volunteer and teacher’s aide for nearly 20 years at Mendoza Elementary and Stevenson Elementary in Mesa, Arizona. She served on the Missions Council and was a forwarding agent for a missionary family. Karen most recently attended Broadway Christian Church in Mesa. She enjoyed traveling in their motorhome all across the country and visiting NASCAR races while cheering on her favorite driver, Jeff Gordon. Karen was born on September 1, 1940 in Union Township, Huntington County to the late Howard and Helen (Thomas) Cone. She was united in marriage to William C. Fausz on October 23, 1959 in Warren, Indiana. William survives. Additional survivors include a daughter: Deb DiGirolamo of Mesa, AZ; a sister: Carol (Bryant) Craig of Huntington; a brother: Jerry D. Cone of Phoenix, AZ; two grandsons: Steven (Kristian) DiGirolamo of Mesa, AZ, Michael DiGirolamo of Oklahoma City, OK; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son: Ted W. Fausz; a daughter: Monica M. Fausz; a sister: Sharon Brown and a brother: David Cone. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 16, 2021 from 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm at the Myers Funeral Home Huntington Chapel, 2901 Guilford Street, Huntington, Indiana. Funeral service following visitation at 2:00 pm. We will be following the CDC’s and Indiana’s guidelines. Interment will be at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Marion, Indiana.
